Who We Are
Afri Cynel Humanitarian Organization is a community-driven nonprofit organization grounded in lived experience. We were founded to respond to the urgent needs of Black newcomers and vulnerable families who often fall through the gaps of traditional service systems.
We recognize that settlement is not just about paperwork. It is about safety, dignity, food, mental wellness, belonging, and trust. Our organization was built by the community, for the community, to address these realities holistically.
Our History
Since our founding in 2011, Afri Cynel has consistently provided frontline humanitarian services in Edmonton. Over the years, our programs have evolved to meet changing community needs while staying rooted in our core mission of equity, access, and empowerment.
