Food insecurity is one of the most immediate challenges faced by Black newcomers and low-income families. Afri Cynel provides culturally appropriate food hampers that reflect the dietary needs, traditions, and dignity of the communities we serve.
This program goes beyond hunger relief. It restores a sense of home, identity, and belonging while addressing urgent nutritional needs.
Navigating immigration systems, housing applications, healthcare, education, and employment services can be overwhelming. Afri Cynel offers one-on-one settlement support delivered by staff who understand these systems and the lived realities of our clients.
We help individuals overcome bureaucratic barriers that can otherwise delay or derail successful integration.
Many of our clients arrive at Afri Cynel during moments of crisis. This may include housing instability, family breakdown, mental health distress, or social isolation.
We provide immediate, compassionate support and referrals, ensuring individuals are not navigating crises alone.
Afri Cynel recognizes the unique vulnerabilities faced by Black youth and elders. We address youth isolation through engagement, guidance, and referrals, while also supporting elders who may experience abuse, neglect, or isolation due to language and cultural barriers.
We collaborate with nonprofit and community partners to deliver workshops, resource sessions, and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen both individuals and organizations within the Black community.
